The august run i was thinking about is Holy Cross in Colorado. here are a few links to check out the location and stuff.

Looks like about a 6 to 7 hour drive

I-70 to hwy 24(to minturn and leadville)then South to 39 28'27.00 N 106 21'44.00 W(turnoff) head west

Some other people i now will be going in August but probably the first weekend when the Leadville festival happens and since schools start just after the third weekend. They camp about a miile up the road after the turnoff. Holy Cross is just a day trip and there are a few other roads to explore around leadville. I've heard there is a few trails within an hour that are good. I'll try to get more info

Could also try to run billings or 21 road again on the way back if people have time

It looks like fun. I just hope that my little jeep could make it.

The trail doesnt sound very difficult from what Mike here at my office says. The most difficult obstacle is just after the old ghost town of Holy Cross called Clevalnd Rock. Sounds like a good little hike to cleveland lake as well. Do a little fishing maybe?

Heres a few more write ups to check out.

Way to not remember Rain Man. It would be fun to find a group of trails in a close area where could just set up a base camp and make runs from there.

So what tire did you get and what size? Knowing you I am sure you got a good deal.
